Hoa Vu

I am a Lecturer and Lead Economist at the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. My research focuses on health economics, labor economics, public policy, and emerging technologies (AI, robotics).

Before joining Northwestern, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kansas in 2021, where my dissertation received the Argersinger Award for Best Doctoral Dissertation in the Social Sciences, Education, Humanities, and Arts. My research has been covered by The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, and The New York Times.

Thanks for visiting.

Hoa is pronounced like 'wah', but with an 'h' sound at the start.
